Fun at Learning Centers

Who wouldn't smile at this?  You've got to love a spring garden and some creativity.  We'll work a bit on titles/abbreviations, though. LOL

Animal Allies Visit

Pat from Animal Allies presented information on how to react to strange dogs and cats.  She gave advice on how to report a stray or hurt animal.  She shared her favorite pets... a dog rescued from storms on the gulf coast and a hedgehog.  

Creepy Crawlies


First-graders investigate the lifecycle of mealworms. Our butterfly eggs should be arriving soon.




Balance and Motion - We Love Physics


Second graders are studying the scientific principles of balance and motion. Understanding terms like balance, counterbalance, counterweight, balance point, and center of gravity.
Hands-on activities provide meaning to the vocabulary. Trial-and-error experiments are key to these lessons.

Field Trip - Maple Sugarbush

We ventured to Rogotzke's maple sugar Bush on a beautiful spring day. The sap was running like mad. One of the tubes head,, so we were able to put our hand under the tube and get a handful of sap to drink.we learned about trees local history ecosystems and best of all of maple syrup.

Veterinarian Visit

We were lucky to have Dr. J. visit our classroom and teach us all about pets -feeding, exercise, kindness, and love.  She taught us how she cares for animals, and showed us what she does in her job. She patiently answered about a hundred questions. What an inspiration and great role model!
